Landscaped pathways and meandering streams. Ponds, paddy fields and shimmering pools. The setting is idyllic. The architecture, a contemporary nod to traditional Lao terraced housing. In the midst of all the greenery, semi-detached villas all turn to face the misty mountains.
The first Pullman to arrive in Laos looks more like a peaceful village than a 5-star international resort, when in fact it boasts the largest conference centre in Luang Prabang. With two bars and a restaurant, an exclusive private lounge, three pools, a fitness centre and luxury spa, it is a destination in and of itself.
[/tab] [tab]Two-Bedroom Pool Villa
To stay in the resort’s only two-bedroom pool villa is to experience true luxury. Its sheer size (270sqm) makes it ideal for a very special family holiday in Luang Prabang. Its large private swimming pool, as well as its spacious indoor living room, make the villa perfect for private celebrations. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, and there’s also an outdoor rain shower on the terrace.
Premium Deluxe Suite
Alongside 105sqm of well-designed space, Premium Deluxe suites offer privacy and autonomy. One bedroom, one living room, a pantry and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Each suite features handsome furnishings, a Bose sound system, an illy coffee machine and complimentary Wi-Fi. And overlooking the terraced rice paddies, a double patio with a daybed beckons from sunrise to sunset. The bathroom is an oasis of tranquillity with a separate bathtub and cascading rain shower.
Deluxe Suite
Guests in a Deluxe suite of 83sqm receive a VIP welcome. The Bose sound system brings playlists to life. The views bring serenity and inspiration. A work desk and free Wi-Fi keep things connected, while everything else – from the peaceful surroundings to the comfortable living area furniture, king-size bed and sumptuous bathroom – promotes blissful disconnection.
Premium Deluxe Room
The Premium Deluxe rooms go a few steps further than the Deluxe rooms and offer an extra 25sqm of streamlined space (totalling 67sqm), allowing for a large work desk, a bigger TV, an illy coffee machine, Bose sound system and a huge bathroom. The big balcony beckons with its comfy couch and enchanting views of the rice paddies and the mountains beyond. Wi-Fi is everywhere and free, ensuring seamless connectivity.
Deluxe Room
These spacious 42sqm rooms redefine deluxe. The decor has a strong wow factor. A furnished balcony looks out onto views of paddy fields, rolling hills and misty mountains. Ceiling fans and AC keep things cool during the hot months. Heaters keep things cosy when it’s cold.
L’Atelier
One of the only open-kitchen concepts in Luang Prabang! Next to The Junction, a few steps from the conference centre, the resort’s all-day restaurant is a hive of activity at mealtimes. Chefs serve up fresh, innovative takes on breakfast favourites at live cooking stations. Ingredients are organic and locally-farmed. A la carte menus and buffets feature local and international delicacies. Full of daily surprises, designed with the help of nutritionists. Delivered directly to guest rooms and suites upon request.
The Junction
The Junction is a place to connect, unwind and watch the world go by. Grab a book from the adjacent library and settle down for a relaxing break in a serene setting. This is where two of Pullman’s most popular concepts – Tapastry and Vinoteca – unite to bring guests all-day delicacies of both local and international influence, accompanied by a carefully curated selection of wines and signature cocktails.
H2O
Sunloungers pepper the deck, ideal for a bask in the morning rays. Later, when the sun reaches its zenith, eight traditional Thai-style salas provide ample shade and privacy. Friendly and discreet waiters mill around taking and delivering orders, so there’s no need to get up. Options range from healthy salads (from the hotel gardens), sandwiches and local specialties to gourmet homemade ice cream and creative cocktails.
Pullman Spa
The Pullman Spa is a realm of relaxation. Individual treatment chalets invite serenity-seekers to get away from it all. Treatments using Ytsara products cleanse, buff and revitalise. Massages soothe or invigorate. With such an extensive menu and idyllic setting, the Pullman Spa is the place to be pampered in Luang Prabang.
Pullman Fit Lounge
The Pullman Fit Lounge is just a short hop from the central pool area. In it are free weights, yoga mats, stability balls and the latest cardio machines to help strengthen, tone, trim and relax. On the roof, gurus guide guests towards inner balance during regularly organised yoga sessions. And joggers can enjoy their daily run through the gardens and rice paddies of the resort along pastoral trails.
